Cheap Flights from Manila to Boracay (Caticlan & Kalibo)

White Beach, sunset sails, and that powdery sand. Boracay never gets old, whether it’s your first time or your nth barkada trip. Pero quick reality check: Boracay has no airport of its own. From Manila, you fly to either Caticlan (MPH), the closest airport, or Kalibo (KLO), which is farther but sometimes cheaper. Then you take a short land-and-boat transfer to the island. Flypinas lets you compare both airports in one search, then sort out your transfer and hotel in the same place.

Caticlan vs Kalibo: Which Airport Should You Pick?

Getting from the Airport to Boracay Island

From Caticlan Airport (MPH)

  1. Airport to Caticlan Jetty Port: a 5–10 minute tricycle or shuttle ride.
  2. Pay the port fees: terminal fee (₱150 each way at Caticlan/Cagban), the one-time environmental fee (₱150 with a Philippine ID; ₱300 for foreign guests), and the boat ticket (₱50 each way). Fees as published in 2026 and subject to change.
  3. Boat to Boracay: about 10–15 minutes to Cagban Port.
  4. Cagban Port to your hotel: e-trike or hotel shuttle, around 5–20 minutes depending on where you’re staying.

From Kalibo Airport (KLO)

  1. Kalibo Airport to Caticlan Jetty Port: shared van, bus, or private transfer, around 1.5–2 hours. Transfer counters and vans wait just outside the terminal.
  2. Same port steps as above: pay the terminal and environmental fees, take the boat to Cagban, then an e-trike to your hotel. Note that many cheap van tickets don’t include the government fees.

Habagat note: During the southwest monsoon months, boats may switch to the Tabon–Tambisaan port pair, which has different terminal fees. Rough seas can also delay or suspend trips, so check port advisories on travel day.

Para smooth ang entry: Bring a valid ID and a confirmed booking at a DOT-accredited Boracay hotel. You can prepay your fees and get a QR code through the official Boracay iPass system on the Aklan provincial government website, so you skip some of the queues. Save a screenshot in case signal is weak at the port.

Airport Guide: Departing NAIA Manila

NAIA terminals are not connected by walkway. As of October 2026, PAL and AirAsia domestic flights use Terminal 2, while Cebu Pacific operates mainly from Terminal 3 (some flights at Terminal 2). Assignments were reshuffled several times in 2026, so check your e-ticket. OFWs connecting from an international flight on a separate ticket should allow several hours, or overnight in Manila, since Caticlan flights stop by mid-afternoon.

Where to Stay in Boracay

Station 1 for the widest stretch of White Beach, Station 2 for D’Mall and nightlife, Station 3 for quieter and more budget-friendly stays, or Bulabog for kitesurfing during Amihan. Make sure your hotel is DOT-accredited, since you’ll need the booking confirmation at the port.
