From Caticlan airport to Boracay

  1. Airport to jetty port: take a short tricycle or van ride from the airport to Caticlan Jetty Port. Pre-booked transfers to your hotel are also available.
  2. Pay port fees: at the port you pay the terminal fee (Province of Aklan), the environmental fee (Municipality of Malay) and the boat fare. You can pay at the counters or prepay online via Boracay iPass or LezzGo Boracay (both add a convenience fee).
  3. Boat to Boracay: ride the boat across to Cagban Port on Boracay, then take an e-trike or your hotel transfer.
Port fees as reported for 2025–2026:
  • Terminal fee: ₱150
  • Environmental fee: ₱150 for Filipino/domestic tourists, ₱300 for foreign tourists
  • Boat fare: ₱50

Alternative: fly to Kalibo

Kalibo International Airport (KLO), also in Aklan, is the other gateway to Boracay. Flights there are sometimes cheaper or have more seats, but you'll have a longer land transfer to the Caticlan jetty port. Compare both with the search box above, and change the destination to KLO.

Before you go: hotel booking

Book a hotel accredited by the Department of Tourism (DOT), and keep your booking confirmation and a valid ID ready. You'll be asked for your accommodation details when you register to enter. The Bureau of Immigration's Boracay-Caticlan guide also lists proof of hotel booking for foreign tourists.

Best time to go

Most people go during the cooler, drier months from about November to May, when White Beach is calm. During the southwest monsoon (habagat), roughly June to October, expect more rain and rough seas, and boats may switch to the Tabon–Tambisaan ports. Check the PAGASA weather forecast before you fly. Holy Week and holidays are the busiest times, so book early.
